Jordan: Applications Now Open for Alfanar Seed Cycle

Are you a social enterprise in Jordan looking to strengthen and grow your reach?

Does your work improve the lives of disadvantaged groups, especially children, youth and women?

We invite early and growth-stage social enterprises in Jordan to apply to our first Seed Cycle in Jordan. Following shortlisting and pitching to a judges' panel, five eligible social enterprises will be selected to take part in a four and half month, high-engagement management support and customised training programme designed to help scale impact, strengthen operations and grow financial sustainability.

Under the “Impact Together” project, funded by the European Union (EU) and powered by the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA), Alfanar is implementing the first Seed cycle as part of the project that intends to support social enterprises (SEs) and promote employment creation in Jordan.

Application deadline: 2nd September 2023

Eligibility criteria:

Running or growing a self-generated revenue model that aims to achieve financial sustainability beyond grants and donations
Headed by a backable Founder/CEO and strong management team
Driven to scale their social and environmental impact
Has a model that is focused on generating income and employment opportunities through the sales of a product and/or service
Legally registered for a minimum of a year in Jordan
Motivated to receive transformative technical assistance and management support
Will be available for, and committed to, training, mentoring and coaching sessions
Addresses at least one of these Sustainable Development Goals

- SDG 10- Reduced Inequalities
- SDG 12- Responsible Consumption and Production
