Youmna Younes

Youmna Younes is a Portfolio Manager, Business Development Specialist, and Financial Advisor with over 17 years of experience spanning venture philanthropy, international development, and corporate banking. She currently serves as Portfolio Manager at Alfanar, where she supports social enterprises in achieving investment readiness and scaling their social and environmental impact through strategic advisory, financial planning, and impact measurement. Throughout her career, Youmna has worked extensively with donor-funded programs supporting MSMEs, startups, and social enterprises across Lebanon and the MENA region. She previously held senior roles at Berytech, where she managed grants and financial operations for multi-country programs funded by international partners, including USAID, the European Union, UN WFP and other global donors. She provided tailored business advisory, managed grant portfolios, and supported enterprises in strengthening their financial sustainability, scaling operations, and accessing funding. Earlier in her career, Youmna spent nearly a decade in corporate banking at a leading bank in Lebanon, managing a portfolio of over USD 60 million and advising businesses on financial structuring, growth strategies, and risk management. This experience gave her strong expertise in financial analysis, investment readiness, and access to finance. Over the years, Youmna has directly supported more than 200 MSMEs and startups in strengthening their financial management and growth strategies. She is particularly passionate about supporting women-led businesses, social enterprises, and agri-food ventures that create sustainable livelihoods and economic opportunities for vulnerable communities. Youmna holds a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Project Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and is a certified GrowthWheel® Business Advisor. In her free time, Youmna loves going on hiking trips and snapping photos of nature.
