Delta Oil

Delta Oil is a social enterprise tackling environmental pollution by collecting and recycling used cooking oil into biodiesel and other sustainable products. By promoting responsible waste disposal and renewable energy, Delta Oil helps reduce carbon emissions and protect water resources. Committed to driving both environmental and social impact, Delta Oil’s circular economy approach offers underprivileged communities an opportunity to exchange their used cooking oil for cash payment or/and social services.

Achievements

Alfanar began supporting Delta Oil in 2021and progressed the social enterprise to business planning, approving their long-term funding in 2023. This investment is centered around supporting Delta Oil’s expansion across Egypt and the development of a monitoring and evaluation framework to help them accurately measure their social impact as they continue to scale.
