Jar Thuraya empowers women in rural Lebanon by creating an inclusive community of producers specializing in handcrafted, plant-based preserves inspired by traditional Lebanese cuisine. They provide them with financial security, fair wages, and direct access to markets while celebrating their identities by adding their names and villages to each jar. Through this initiative, they preserve Lebanon’s food heritage, uplift marginalized women, and connect global consumers to authentic, ethical, and sustainable products. Their products are made with local and natural ingredients, wrapped in eco-friendly labels and packaging, and provide alternative and healthy solutions to foods with refined sugar and processed components.
