Kafrsoum Agricultural Cooperative for Pomegranate Producers

Kafrsoum Agricultural Cooperative for Pomegranate Producers addresses challenges such as declining orchard productivity, water scarcity, and high unemployment by providing training, improving agricultural practices, and promoting locally produced goods. The cooperative supports farmers with direct grants and interest-free loans, enabling them to grow high-quality pomegranate and dairy products. By offering training, employment support, and work permits for Syrian refugees, the cooperative helps farmers including women and displaced communities strengthen their livelihoods and foster sustainable development. To date, the cooperative has provided 505 grants, issued 337 loans, trained 800 beneficiaries, and facilitated 13,500 work permits. Through these efforts, the cooperative promotes economic and social inclusion, enhances agricultural productivity, and strengthens local communities across the region.
