With Lumeyo’s support, Bedouin women in Southern Jordan are generating sustainable income from their traditional weaving skills. Through training, product design guidance, and facilitated market access, they create handicrafts from recycled yarn that reduce waste and preserve their cultural heritage. Lumeyo equips them with the skills and support to sell culturally inspired products, earn fair wages, and contribute to their families’ education and livelihoods. The initiative helps sustain cultural traditions, promote environmental responsibility, and foster economic independence.
