Established in 2007 by designers Tatiana Fayad and Joanne Hayek, Vanina is a Beirut-based social enterprise that leverages fashion as a vehicle for social and environmental change. The brand offers handcrafted jewellery, accessories, and apparel, often created from upcycled materials. Vanina collaborates with local NGOs to train and employ women, including those from vulnerable communities, in its production processes.
Achievements
Alfanar provided catalytic funding to Vanina scale its operations and amplify its social impact. During this partnership, Vanina expanded its artisan network, enhanced its sustainable production methods, and increased its international market presence. Alfanar's involvement also enabled Vanina to develop new collections that combined innovative design with environmental consciousness.
