Turning Waste into Opportunity
WMC is a recycling facility dedicated to the efficient disposal of inorganic waste, aiming to contribute to Egypt's sustainable development. The social enterprise collects inorganic waste from consumers and processes it in their facility to prepare materials for recycling – mitigating environmental hazards associated with improper waste disposal. Alfanar supported WMC as part of a climate accelerator in 2024, providing funding, training and guidance to enhance its operational efficiency and impact.
