Ramallah, Palestine — In the midst of one of the most challenging periods for education in Palestine, a groundbreaking digital initiative is emerging to safeguard learning continuity and transform how Palestinian children study.
Yalla Nodrus (Let's Study); a national EdTech platform developed under the strategic partnership and leadership of Alfanar, Drosos Foundation, and Al Nayzak for Supportive Education and Scientific Innovation with content development partners including Kamkalima and Lebanese Alternative Learning (LAL/Tabshoura) is setting the stage for a new era of accessible, curriculum-aligned, and resilient digital education in Palestine.
Yalla Nodrus represents more than a pilot project; it is a blueprint for a national digital learning ecosystem in Palestine.
Following years of compounded disruptions from COVID-19 to the current ongoing conflict, movement restrictions, and reduced school days, Palestinian learners continue to face significant obstacles in accessing stable and quality education. According to the Education Cluster (February 2025), the system is in “a state of profound crisis,” requiring immediate, innovative, and scalable solutions to protect learning for millions of children.
Yalla Nodrus responds directly to this urgent need. Hosted on a customized Moodle platform, it offers interactive, curriculum-aligned digital content for Grades 5, 7, and 9 in Arabic, Math, and Science, bridging in-school and at-home learning to reduce learning loss, support psychosocial stability, and strengthen educational resilience.
Drosos Foundation — Core Funder of the Palestine EdTech Programme
Yalla Nodrus is implemented under the Drosos-funded Palestine EdTech Programme, which aims to strengthen digital learning ecosystems across the country. Drosos supports programmatic development, partner coordination, and ecosystem building ensuring that digital learning becomes a durable, equitable component of Palestinian education. Their investment enables the development of high-quality content, teacher training, school support structures, and scaling mechanisms.
Alfanar — Venture Philanthropy Partner Driving Sustainability
As the first venture philanthropy organization in the Arab region, Alfanar provides financial support, technical guidance, and rigorous oversight throughout the project. Their partnership agreement with Al Nayzak formalizes responsibilities in training, content adaptation, school selection, reporting, financial management, and quality assurance ensuring accountability, transparency, and long-term impact. Alfanar’s role extends beyond funding: they provide high-engagement management support and reinforce the project’s sustainability framework through policies, financial compliance systems, and accountability structures.
Al Nayzak – Implementing Partner Shaping Yalla Nodrus
As the implementing partner, Al Nayzak has played a central role in shaping the educational, technical, and operational framework of Yalla Nodrus.
This includes:
Al Nayzak’s longstanding expertise in STEM, innovation, and education in emergencies has positioned it as a key national organization capable of bridging pedagogy with technology ensuring the platform is not only functional but also contextually relevant and aligned with national priorities.
Kamkalima — Arabic Language and Literacy Integration
Kamkalima adapts Arabic-language content with reading, writing, vocabulary, SEL competencies, and creative skills. Kamkalima has mapped the Palestinian Arabic curriculum, worked with local content writers to develop four thematic units per grade, and integrated social-emotional learning (SEL) competencies such as empathy, identity, citizenship, and wellbeing into content design.
LAL/Tabshoura — Math & Science Integration
LAL has supported curriculum mapping and localization for Palestinian Math and Science standards, while training content writers in digital instructional design. Tabshoura’s proven model already deployed across Lebanon brings a rich library of interactive, accessible content that is now being adapted for Palestinian learners.
Together, these content partners ensure Yalla Nodrus offers a rich, contextualized, and culturally relevant digital learning experience.
Yalla Nodrus represents a major shift in how Palestine approaches crisis-resilient learning with an approach that aligns with international recommendations. The platform promotes:
While the project has achieved major milestones, several structural and contextual challenges remain:
These challenges underscore the importance of flexibility, coordinated planning, and sustained investment in digital infrastructure and teacher capacity.
As we move toward the 2026 implementation phase, we invite schools, educators, donors, private-sector partners, and civil society organizations to collaborate with us. Yalla Nodrus is a collective national effort and we welcome partners who share our vision for a resilient, equitable, and modern education system in Palestine.
Donors/Investors: Funding is needed to scale the platform to three additional grade levels by 2027 and for the provision of 10,000 tablets for students in remote areas.
Corporate Partners: We seek in-kind partnerships for internet connectivity, device provisioning and local server hosting to enhance accessibility.
Schools/NGOs: Register your school for the 2026 pilot phase and join our teacher community of practice.
Together, we can ensure that every Palestinian learner has a safe, continuous and high-quality learning pathway.
