With the ceasefire in Gaza in effect, we are hopeful that it will allow much-needed humanitarian aid and relief to reach the people of Gaza and provide a pause to an assault that has claimed 46,707 lives, including nearly 18,000 children.

The road to recovery is long, with over half of Gaza’s hospitals and 90% of schools and housing units either damaged or destroyed, making the rebuilding process an urgent priority. At Alfanar, we remain steadfast in our commitment to work with our partner BuildPalestine to address both the immediate and long-term needs of the impact ecosystem.

Lama Amr, Executive Director of Build Palestine, reflected: “Changemakers in Gaza have demonstrated extraordinary resilience, innovation, and determination, building solutions amid immense challenges. At BuildPalestine and Alfanar, we are committed to supporting them. We will continue to map locally-led interventions and focus our efforts on amplifying their impact and extending their reach.”

“During these uncertain times, we believe that our approach to support and grow our portfolio of social enterprises in Palestine will provide the most durable foundation for long-term growth and financial independence,” added Suha Abdul Rahim, Alfanar's Jordan & Palestine Director.

"By fostering innovation and collaboration, we can help revive the social fabric of Palestine."

We welcome the opportunity to mobilise a global community for impact in Palestine and move forward with determination, hope for lasting relief, and solidarity.
